August Pistol Match Registration

The August Pistol match will be Saturday, August 3rd. Some details below:

–Registration will open Saturday, July 27th @8AM. Registration closes Friday, August 2nd @9PM.

-If for some reason a club member goes to register and it says $20.00, please do not pay. Let me know that you are experiencing this issue and I will get it corrected for you.

-All shooters should find Whitney upon arrival to check in. Any new shooter, meaning they have never shot a Steel Challenge match before, needs to be at the range by 9:25am. Please let Whitney know when you go to check in.

-MCFGC is a family, youth oriented, and respectful club. Recent reports of PROFANITY during matches is disturbing and very unwelcome. We hear it on TV, the internet, and other areas of our lives. Our matches are one place of refuge that you will NOT hear it. We have many juniors, ladies, and others that attend our matches. IF YOU CANNOT LEAVE YOUR UNWELCOME LANGUAGE AT HOME, PLEASE STAY HOME!!

-The match will be 6 stages (make sure you bring plenty of drinks/snacks to replenish yourself throughout the match, Safety first!!)
-Please arrive by 9:15am to help setup and sign-in. Sign-in with Whitney first thing, then you can help set up and prepare for the match.
-Safety briefing is at 9:45am, match starts at 10am. (YOU MUST BE PRESENT FOR THE SAFETY BRIEFING TO SHOOT IN THE MATCH)
-Everyone must register through Practiscore with the link below. If you have not made a Practiscore account, it is easy to do and only asks a couple of questions. You will pay for the match online through Practiscore.
-No one will be able to sign up for the match that morning and there will be no money taken.
-Don’t forget, you are able to enter preferred squad members. If you are with a group or if your guest is signing up for the match, please make sure they put your name in that box. We will try to accommodate these requests to the best of our abilities, but it is not guaranteed.

SCSA October Match

Saturday, October 7th will be our first official Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) match!!!!.

Match starts at 10 am. Please be there at 9:15 to check in and help set up. Safety briefing is at 9:45 am. (You must be present for the safety briefing to participate in the match) This match will be eight(8) stages. Four(4) squads with 12 guns per squad. 

Below is the link to register and pay for the match. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER THROUGH PRACTISCORE TO SHOOT THE MATCH. There will be no walk-ons or money taken that morning. Registration ends on October 6th at 8:30pm.

September Pistol Match

Another note to add, the range will be closed during the match except the Rimfire range.

Our next monthly pistol match will be on Saturday, September 2nd at 10am.

We will be using our new pistol bay. With that being said, there are some changes for this match and future matches. I have attached our match information sheet and a few key changes below.

-This will be a 6 stage match.
-Registration on Practiscore will end at 9pm on Friday, September 1st. If you are not pre-registered through practiscore, we cannot guarantee you a spot.
-There will be 3 squads.
-Again, you will need to be checked in and ready to go by 9:30am. Safety Briefing is at 9:45 sharp.

You must be present for the Safety Briefing to be eligible to shoot the match.

August Pistol Match Cancelled

The relentless weather and amount of work left to do leaves our range incomplete and not yet ready for a match.

Instead of shooting, we are scheduling another work session to complete the filling of the dividers on new bays. Some other work is also necessary.

If you can, please come out Saturday and help complete the tasks necessary to ensure safe and enjoyable matches. It will be most appreciated. We think it is something you will be proud to be a part of.

We will start around 9:00 AM Saturday morning. The work is not difficult and good people involved.

Pistol Range Upgrades

Some big upgrades to the pistol ranges are in progress!

Bay 1 has been leveled and gravel added for more distance, but the side wall is pending an extension for safe use of the longer range.

Two new pistol ranges are under construction in the area between the rimfire rifle range and 200 yard rifle targets. New berms are clearly visible from the clubhouse, but gravel and the safety wall are pending completion. Do not use the new ranges until construction is complete.
