Range Closed – Sat, 8/29

The range will be closed Saturday, August 29th for the Montgomery County 4H Shooting Sports KY Invitational. This will be an all day event.

Feel free to come out and watch these awesome kiddos in their shooting disciplines.

Reminder of Range Rules

To all members:

SHOOTERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PLACE ANY TARGETS ON THE SUPPORT FRAMES OR POSTS ON THE TARGET STANDS.

NO SHOOTING OF GLASS OR FRUIT ON ANY RANGE.

DO NOT PLACE PAPER TARGETS IN FRONT OF THE STEEL TARGETS. WHEN YOU SHOOT THROUGH PAPER IT GOES THROUGH AND HITS THE WOODEN STANDS BEHIND AND CAUSES DAMAGE.

These rules are in place to ensure the safety of our members and guests while also protecting the facilities and equipment that make our range such a valuable resource.

Your membership dues help fund the continued improvement and maintenance of the range, but much of the work required to keep it in excellent condition is generously performed by fellow members who volunteer their time and effort.

We ask that you respect both the range and the people who help care for it by following the established rules. Working together, we can ensure that our range remains a safe, enjoyable, and well-maintained place for everyone to use.

Range Work Day Complete – Sat, 5/30

The work day objectives were completed earlier today, so the range is available. No range closures are planned for tomorrow.

Many thanks to the volunteers who completed repairs and improvements. Also, well done to the 4H members who completed major cleaning of the clubhouse and furniture!

Range Work Day – Sat & Sun, 5/30-5/31

The range will be closed on Saturday, May 30th and possibly Sunday, May 31st for work days on all ranges. If all jobs are not finished on that Saturday, then it will we be finished up on Sunday.

Many hands make light work. If you can help on those days, please let us know. There will be a list of all jobs, materials, and equipment posted at a later date.

CANCELLATIONS Due to Weather

Cancellation announcements:

1/23/2026 – No Friday Night Trapshoot
1/24/2026 – No Saturday ATA Registered Shoot
1/26/2026 – No Monday night Trap practice
1/31/2026 – No Steel Challenge match (next match 3/7/26)

Due to incoming winter weather and below normal temperatures, we have decided to cancel the events listed above. The calendar has been updated to reflect cancellations.

Ranges Closed for Work Day – Sat, 11/29

ALL RANGES EXCEPT RIMFIRE CLOSED ON NOVEMBER 29 until 2:00 PM.

All steel shooters and anyone else who wants to help. We will have a work morning on November 29th at 9:00 AM.
We will be preparing range for winter and laser leveling all targets, moving and replacing some target blocks and installing new Amon strips on 2×4’s, cutting new 2×4’s, empty trash and other range maintenance as needed, no heavy work involved.

If you have a crow bar or sledge hammer, shovel, battery operated saw or drill, bring them with you. If we have adequate amount of workers show up, it should take about 3 hours to complete all work. We will be setting up Outer limits and Showdown in 5 and 6.

Come on out and work that Turkey off, guarantee you will feel better.

Pistol Bays 3,4,5,6 Closed 11/4 thru 11/6

Pistol bays 3,4,5, and 6 are closed today November 4th through November 6th for maintenance on the berms and bays. Please refrain from driving back to that part of the range.

2025 Match Schedule

There has been a small change to open/closed ranges during a match.

Starting now:
During any Rimfire Rifle match, Pistol Bays 3 & 4 will be closed. All other ranges/bays are open.

I have updated the 2025 Match schedule (attached) and I have also included an aerial view of the range with range and bay labels.
